Green Generation Campaign calls supermarket customers to use paper bags

With only 50 AMD, the customers of Fresh, Star and Zovq supermarket chains will now have the chance to show their environmental consciousness by having the option of placing their purchase(s) in a paper bag instead of a plastic one.  With this small fee, the Supermarket customers will be taking a rather big step towards the establishment of a better and a greener future for Armenia.While some countries have banned the use of plastic bags others simply ask customers to pay for them.  Currently, the over-consumption of plastic bags, which take hundreds of years to decompose, is causing serious environmental damage in Armenia where plastic bags and only plastic bags are offered free of charge to customers at any and all supermarkets and shops.  These bags are...
